Another Example of Why to Keep Your Mac Up-to-Date – Tiger Too Old For Firefox

Well, I used to suggest installing Firefox for those people still running Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) who were having trouble with modern websites. However, Mozilla Corporation has stated that they will no longer be supporting Tiger in new versions of Firefox (and presumably the email client Thunderbird).

However, there's no need to panic if you are still running Tiger, the current version of Firefox (v3.6) will support it forever — although support for version 3.6 of Firefox will be discontinued sometime in 2011.

So there's no immediate rush to upgrade, although I would suggest thinking about it soon, before it becomes obsolete enough to become a problem for you.
