Both of the two options I talk about in the audio lesson above will get you a new computer with full warranty coverage, and eligible for Apple’s extended warranty coverage known as “Applecare”. Applecare extends the length of your computer’s warranty by an additional two years (for a total of 3 years of warranty).
Unlike a third-party warranty a lot of electronics stores try to sell you on, Applecare is direct from the manufacturer and is well worth the money. Any repairs aside from the most minor ones will at least equal the cost of the Applecare, so if one thing goes wrong in the space of three years you’ve at least broken even on your money.
