How to install the free Flash Player

Instructions for Windows - Firefox

The Flash Player is available as a free download from Adobe.com. Click this link to go to the download page (link should open in a new window) and follow the instructions below:

On the page I've linked to above, you should see the following download button, or something very similar. Click the button to begin the download.

When you click the button, you should get a window similar to this one:

Click the OK button, and the download will begin. This will be very quick on a fast internet connection, and may take a few minutes on a slower dialup connection.

Once the download is finished, find the newly downloaded file. Where this will end up depends on your computer. The desktop is the most common place to find it, and the icon will look like this:

Double-click the "Install_flash_player" icon. A window will open briefly, then close itself automatically. It seems like it hasn't done anything, but the Flash Player is now installed.

To make sure it's working, either insert one of my easy video lesson CDs into your computer and try watching a lesson, or go to WorthGodwin.com/flash/ -- if you hear the audio message from me (make sure your speakers are on and turned up) then Flash is sucessfully installed, and you can watch video and listen to audio on my web site, as well as use my lesson CDs.
