How to install the free Flash
Player
Instructions for Windows - Internet Explorer 6
The Flash Player is available as a free download
from Adobe.com. Click
this link to go to the download page (link should open in a
new window) and follow the instructions below:
On the page I've linked to above, you should see
the following information, or something very similar. First click
the box next to the Yahoo logo to remove the check mark, then click
the "Install Now" button to begin the installation.

First, you might see a window pop up in the middle
of the screen that looks like this:

If you see this message pop up, just click the OK
button (don't click the picture above, that's just an example).
When you do, the little window should close.
Once you do that, or if you didn't get that message,
look towards the top of the Internet Explorer window, where you
should see a new bar that looks something like this:

Just click on the bar (again, not the picture above,
but the one near the top of the window) and you should get a small
menu that looks like this:

Click the first option in the menu, where it says
"Install ActiveX Control..." and a small window will appear that
looks like this:

Click the button labelled "Install" and
the little window will close.
After a few moments (it may take several minutes
if you're on dialup), the web page will re-load (it may almost
look like nothing has happened). At this point, the Flash Player
should be installed. If it is working, you should see an animation
telling you that the Flash Player is installed.
To make sure it's working, either insert one of my
easy video lesson CDs into your computer and try watching a lesson,
or go to WorthGodwin.com/flash/ --
if you hear the audio message from me (make sure your speakers
are on and turned up) then Flash is sucessfully installed, and
you can watch video and listen to audio on my web site, as well
as use my lesson CDs.
