Free Online Computer Lessons

This is the section of my site where you can find free online computer lessons like those on my easy video computer lesson CDs.
Easy CDs are available with Apple Mac lessons and with Windows lessons.
Because of Internet limitations, the online videos here on the site are smaller and of lower quality than the ones available on CD. Just click the links below to see a complete video computer tutorial.

[Please note: After clicking a link below, if you have a slow Internet connection, you may have to wait some time for videos to load completely, or they may not play smoothly (videos may stutter or pause for long periods of time). This is likely to happen if you have a dialup connection, but should play smoothly on a fast connection.
This problem does not happen on the CDs.]

6:17
If you have a file or folder on your Mac that you want to have a different name, follow these steps to rename it.
Important: Do not rename files or folders unless you made them yourself! Renaming files and folders that are used by Mac OS X can cause problems.

Videos do require the free Flash player, which is probably already installed on your computer. If the video won't play, and you have an older computer, your software might be too out of date to play the video. You might be able to fix this by going and updating your software by clicking on the following link. If you are asked, you can trust software installed by Adobe and Macromedia -- it will not harm your computer. Click here to go to the Flash Player install page. Or, click here to read instructions on how to install Flash on your computer (also includes link to Adobe's Flash Player install page).
Please understand that if you have a computer running an older version of Windows (before XP) or a Mac running OS 8 or 9, the videos may not play properly because of limitations of your computer.
